BTR International has long recognised the benefits of developing and maintaining a skilled in-house workforce but our commitment to nurturing talent goes further than the global mobility industry.

As part of our broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy BTR International engages in a number of initiatives aimed at supporting environmental and community projects.

Among those projects and working in partnership with Belper Town FC, a football club based in the market town of Belper in Derbyshire, BTR International is a proud sponsor of the “Junior U10’s Gold Sox” squad.

The 7-a-side team, coached by Jamie Allen (FA level 2, FA youth award 1 & 2) and assisted by Paul Smith, play in Group 1 in a regular Sunday junior football league in Derby and finished the 2012-13 season a highly creditable fourth place, only four points behind the second placed team.

As they move into the 2013-14 season the team will progress to 9-a-side and there is now additional excitement as an official link has been forged between the Burton Albion Academy and Belper Town Juniors. The Burton Albion Academy is working to develop the next generation of footballing talent from across the local area and will focus on player development and recruitment of young players between 7 and 18 in the Midlands area.

Mr Lee Brewin, CEO of BTR International commented

“We operate commercially on a global basis so it is really rewarding for us to be able to step back and get involved in helping to develop and nurture talent at a local grassroots level. We know that football, and indeed all sport, can be a great tool for building life skills – confidence, communication skills, competition and respect. If we can help to encourage youngsters to be healthy and active and above all to have fun, that is something we can be really proud of”.
